Helping clients with various insurance protection
and retirement planning needs, has been Syd's passion of business, since joining
Confederation Life in 1979. His approach is "honest intelligent effort is
always rewarded."
Harmony Insurance & Financial Services Inc. is an independent broker company,
serving the many needs of an expanding clientele.
Syd's passion for service was initiated from involvement with the Jaycees in the
late 60's. The philosophy of, "service to humanity is the best work of life"
has continued with many facets of the community.
He has served various significant leadership roles with: Jaycees, Junior
Achievement, Multiple Sclerosis, Lung Association, Cancer Society, church, mush
ball slo-pitch league, Blood Donor Services, and Rotary International.
Syd comments, "Giving back to the community is a life's calling".
Rolling up the sleeves could also be construed as having donated more than 190
pints of blood. That is a lot of coffee and cookies!
A positive attitude, as evidenced with the daily phone message quotes and an
approach that the glass is always 1/2 full has become a way of life for Syd and
his family. |
Stephanie joined the business full time in 2006 after graduating from Carleton University in Ottawa; with a focus on business courses. Further studies have been completed through Humber College, studying event management.
She holds her life insurance license and has completed the investments course. Stephanie has almost completed her Certified Financial Planning designation. Her focus in the business is the next generation of clients and succession planning.
Steph enjoys accompanying dad for the client meetings. "Will she ever graduate to drinking coffee - for now it is water." Phoebe, the Westie sometimes visits the office and is in training as chief paper shredder.
